Developing 4 upgraders in Alberta will create thousands construction, service and manufacturing jobs for Albertans. Specifically:

• 52,000 person years of direct, on site and off site, construction employment
• 10,960 person years of work in engineering design work for Alberta based engineering firms
• 4000 permanent jobs in operations
• Additional 12,000 jobs in supply, services and maintenance contracts

8 per cent of the labour will go towards engineering and design work – benefiting corporate firms in Calgary.

Governments will benefit with the significant increase in corporate taxes.

• $440 million per year in provincial corporate income taxes.
• $780 million per year in federal corporate income taxes.
